Rocket Barrage from Iran Sets Off Sirens in Dimona, Negev

(MENAFN) Evening sirens blared across the city of Dimona and neighboring regions in Israel’s Negev desert after reports of a missile attack originating from Iran, according to military sources.

The army confirmed that it had detected Iranian-launched rockets and indicated that air defense systems were actively engaged in intercepting them. Sirens were triggered in Dimona as well as surrounding areas, including the Yeruham settlement, in response to what was described as a “limited barrage.”

Reports indicated that at least one missile in the region was successfully intercepted by air defenses, with no injuries reported.

In a separate incident, military monitoring detected another volley of rockets aimed at the southern city of Eilat, prompting sirens to sound there as well as in the Shahorit industrial zone and the Eilot settlement.

At this time, there is no immediate information on potential damage or casualties from these attacks.
